Welcome to the DocuSign account setup guide! Follow the steps below to create your account and get access to the East Central BOCES DocuSign service.


This guide is intended just for our member school district Special Education employees. If you are an East Central BOCES employee you can skip directly to Step 5 below


Be sure you have access to your school district email account before you begin this process



Step 1: Visit the DocuSign registration page


Open your web browser and go to DocuSign https://docusign.com and click on the small link in the upper right corner that says "Log In"


On the login page, click the "Sign Up for Free" Button.





Step 2: Create DocuSign account with your school district email address


Enter your school district email address and then click the Get Started button. DocuSign will then ask you for your name and a phone number. We recommend using your district or school's main contact number.


Make sure you use your school district issued email address. We cannot authorize DocuSign accounts using a personal email address.


Docusign will now ask for a six digit code. They will have already sent you an email with that code. You will need to retrieve that code and then enter it here.


Once you have entered the code that confirms your email address, you will be asked to set a password. Once this registration process has been completed you will no longer need this password as you will use the same login credentials that you use for the ECBOCES website or Enrich. We encourage you to create a very long and complex password as you should not need it once this account activation process has been completed.


Step 3: Inform ECBOCES that your account needs to be activated


From your school email address, send an email to help@ecboces.org to create a help ticket. Indicate in it that you are a district Special Education employee and that you need your DocuSign account to be authorized. A member of the East Central BOCES IT Team will pick the ticket up and you'll receive an email indicating that you have been authorized.


After your account has been authorized, you will additionally recieve an email with the subject "Account Activation" directly from DocuSign. In the email you will see a button that says Activate. This will open a new browser window or tab. In that new window enter the password you created in the prior step, and then finally click on the next Activate button.


Now that your account has been activated, you will need to logout before continuing to step 4. Click on your initials in the upper right corner of the DocuSign window and click Log Out on the menu that appears.


Step 4: Log-in to DocuSign using the ECBOCES Single Sign On (SSO) system.


Visit the East Central BOCES homepage at https://www.ecboces.org. On the right hand side of the screen click the dark grey button that says LOGIN on it. Login to the site using your ECBOCES username and password, which is also the same one you use for logging into Enrich.


If you don't see a LOGIN button, but you do see your name in the far upper right of the window, you are already logged in and can continue!


Once logged in, you will see a set of dark purple buttons. One of these buttons will say DocuSign. Click that button and now you will be directed back to the DocuSign system. If asked enter your school district email address, DocuSign will once again ask you for the password you created in Step 2 above. Once you have logged in with that password you will see a confirmation to "Use East Central BOCES SSO Login." Click the Link button




Step 5: All Done!


You have successfully created and linked your DocuSign account with the East Central BOCES and you can begin sending documents for signature. For all future logins to DocuSign, first visit the ECBOCES website at https://www.ecboces.org and use the login function there to access the DocuSign button.
